FAQ

When do we meet?

The NPU-B Board meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm.

The Public Safety Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm.

The Development & Transportation & Special Projects Committee meets as needed on Tuesday (2 weeks before the NPU-B Board meeting) at 7 pm.

The Zoning Committee meets the last Tuesday of each month at 7 pm.

Where do we meet?

NPU-B is currently meeting via Zoom.  Please consult the agenda for the Zoom link to the virtual meeting.  Should we move to a hybrid meeting, the location for in-person attendance will be posted on the website and on the meeting agenda.

What is the Atlanta Planning Advisory Board?

The Atlanta Planning Advisory Board (APAB) is a representative board of citizens from every Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU). APAB meets regularly on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00am. You can read more about the Atlanta Planning Advisory Board on their website.

How can I become a representative?

Residential Representative

Each neighborhood in NPU-B is entitled to appoint one Residential Representative no later than October 1 of each year to serve the following calendar year.  The names shall be given to the Residential Coordinator by the neighborhood Association president or an officer (except the appointee) no less than four days prior to the October Board meeting.

The neighborhoods are:

  • Garden Hills
  • Lindbergh-Morosgo

  • Peachtree Heights East
  • Peachtree Heights West
  • Peachtree Hills

  • Pine Hills
  • Ridgedale Park
  • South Tuxedo Park

Business Representative

A business representative is an employee, owner, or partner in the Business Constituent (a business organization or entity, including a sole proprietorship, corporation, organization, institution, or agency which has a place of business or profession) he/she/they represents and has the primary workplace within NPU-B. Candidates need to provide written documentation that they are the only candidate from their respective Business Constituent.  Business representatives will be nominated in writing, filed by a business constituent or filed by the candidate.  To be listed on the ballot, nominations need to be delivered to the Business Coordinator no less than four days before the October Board meeting.  Business candidates for the coming year are elected after November 1st and no later than the 3rd Tuesday in November.
